Just 12 miles away from the Buccleuch Arms, Kelso race course holds regular meetings between October and May each year. We have put together some great packages to enable you to enjoy the racing around any of the fixtures.

Surrounded by countryside we welcome all sporting guests of all shapes and sizes. We work with many local estates from Walked-Up mixed bag days, to driven pheasant and partridge. We also offer packages for Bisleys Shooting OR Hawthorn Sporting. For those wishing to try their hand at stalking there is nothing better than a dusk or dawn roe deer stalk, especially when it's just on our doorstep.

We are a convenient and popular destination for exhilarating and scenic walking holidays. St. Cuthbert’s Way passes through St.Boswell’s and The Southern Upland Way, Borders Abbeys Way, the Eildon Hills, Dryburgh Abbey to Scott’s View are all beautiful walks varying in distance and ability.

We are 3 miles from Melrose, the heart of the rugby sevens and a great stopover on the way to Murrayfield in Edinburgh, the home of Scottish Rugby.

Salmon and trout fishing is available on the world famous River Tweed which is just minutes from the Buccleuch Arms door. The season here is one of the longest, running from 1st February until the 30th November and with prior notice we can arrange a day's fishing and equipment hire.
